Hey beautiful people,
There comes a time when that little whisper inside you, the one dreaming of open roads and wild landscapes, starts to get louder. For Scott and me, that whisper turned into a definite call towards Scotland last summer. After months of planning we packed up our lives, said goodbye to the city life, and pointed our trusty van, Wally, north. This wasn't just a holiday; it felt like the start of something new – a quest to reconnect with nature, reignite my slightly dormant artistic spirit, and maybe rediscover some of that childlike wonder that gets lost in the everyday hustle.
This journey also marked a few big 'firsts' for us – our first truly long adventure in Wally, and my first time attempting to properly document and film our travels in this way. Did I know what I was doing? Not really. But, something about it just made sense.

I'm so incredibly excited (and a bit nervous!) to share the very first episode of our Scotland Vanlife Adventure series with you all.
In this episode, you'll join us right from the beginning – the final moments leaving the city, the feeling of freedom hitting us as we drove north, and those first impressions of life on the road in our little home on wheels. We share our initial glimpses of Scotland's beauty as we reached the Lowlands, finding ourselves pulling over by serene lochs and wandering through quiet, enchanting forests that instantly started to soothe the soul and spark that creative magic I'd been craving.
Even in these first few days, there was this overwhelming sense of rightness, of freedom. Trading the city buzz for the sound of the wind in the trees felt like coming home to a part of myself I hadn't visited in a while. It truly felt like the beginning of an enchantment, with the promise of so much wild beauty and ancient magic waiting for us further north.
I really hope you enjoy stepping into Wally and joining us for the start of this adventure! It means the world to share this journey.

I'd love to know: Have you ever taken a leap like this, chasing a feeling or a place that was calling to you? Let me know in the comments below, or over on the YouTube video!
And of course, if you want to follow along for the whole ride through misty mountains, magical islands, and maybe even a haunted graveyard or two, please do subscribe to the channel!

Stay enchanted,
Hanna ✨
