Hi, I’m Hanna - an independent watercolour illustrator specialising in ethereal folklore and dark romantic fantasy.

Originally from the deep forests of Sweden, I now embrace an adventurous, nomadic lifestyle, living and creating full-time from a motorhome alongside my partner, Scott. Wandering through the misty hills, ancient ruins, and untamed woodlands of the UK directly fuels the magic in my work.

As a self-taught artist, my heart lies in the natural flow of watercolours and intricate graphite linework. I strive to create scenes plucked straight from a forgotten storybook. Endlessly influenced by the magic of stories - whether found in books, films, or ancient folklore - as well as the mysteries hiding in the shadows, my worlds are inhabited by solitary witches, ethereal elves, and wild creatures like owls and stags, all framed by the rawness of gnarled branches, an illuminated moon, and deep moss.

Visually, I balance soft, atmospheric backgrounds with sharp, expressive faces. My palette is built on muted earth tones and deep midnight blues, punctuated by striking flashes of contrast—like a vivid red cloak or the stark white of an owl's feathers.

Ultimately, my illustrations are portals meant to awaken the mystical and ignite the imagination.

I create because I believe there is so much more to this world than meets the eye. My hope is that my art stirs something deep within your soul - inviting you to pause, feel the magic in the mundane, and rediscover the wonder and beautiful eeriness that still exists if we only choose to look.
